Shrewsbury Open Studios

We had a fabulous weekend for our Shrewsbury Open Studios with sunshine and lots of lovely visitors.  This was a new venue for me and we were exhibiting in Shrewsbury town itself in a town house built in 1689 where Charles Darwin and his sister went to school. The front has a small garden and Irene had put together a colourful display of plants to welcome visitors:

There are three of us exhibiting our work here and this is Irene Pentelow's wonderful studio at the top of the house, here Irene creates her exquisite jewellery from silver, gold, gemstones, copper, enamel chains, threads and recycled glass:

Next is Russell Parry who has many strings to his bow.  Here are his sketch journals on display and he also has some of his beautiful archival hand bound sketchbooks for sale with different ranges of paper to suit your drawing/painting needs:

Russell is also a very talented woodcarver/sculptor and here he is below with some of his beautiful work carved mainly in natural wood:

Here is my work, original screenprints, linocuts, cards and artist books/notebooks/journals, I feel very privileged to show my work in such a beautiful setting and there is a lot of light in the house which helps to show my work.  We are open next weekend as well 10.00am to 4.00pm if you would like to come along for a chat and to see our work you are most welcome.
